The Castle | Majestic Lake View | Soak

We visited the Castle for 3 days and it was magical! Not only was the property and view gorgeous, the host provided EVERYTHING we needed. When you travel it’s all about the little things- the soap’s & shampoo- great instructions to navigate seamlessly in a new environment. Beds & bedding were a 10! This is a treasure tucked away in the trees with incredible views of the Lake.

THE VIEWS FROM DIFFERENT AREAS OF THE HOUSE WERE ALL AMAZING. REALLY ENJOYED OUT STAY. EVERYTHING IS AS DESCRIBED EXCEPT FOR THE GAME CONSOLE AND THE JET OF THE SOAKING TUB; THEY DID NOT WORK. SOME OF THE DISHES WERE IN THE CUPBOARD HAD STAINS. DESPITE MINOR SET BACKS, WE WOULD LOVE TO GO BACK AGAIN.

Our family weekend trip to this property was a mix. The best part was the views which really and truly are exceptional - gorgeous forest and lake views from nearly every room in the home! We love nature, so seeing beautiful views while indoors is always a highlight. If views are the most important part of your trip, this home will not disappoint. There was ample space for our family of five, though I found it disappointing that we were charged extra for being more than 2 people in a 4bd/4bath home for a property that was already . Relevant to this concern, the home was cleaned fairly well but there were a couple significant issues which I've shared with the owner (and included photos) including rodent droppings on the deck and outdoor furniture rendering it unsafe for use and a previous guest's personal items left in the drawer of one of the bedrooms. There were a couple minor repair issues that I shared with the owners (e.g. sink and video game) and I hope these will be remedied before the next guest's stay.

The house is amazing and comfortable. My grandson stood up in the bathtub and yelled”What a view!” (He’s eight.). The kitchen was well appointed but the star of the show are the views. We had a great time. It is close to Arrowhead Village where we took waterskiing lessons at Mackenzie’s . We also went fishing and boating at Lake Gregory which is 15 minutes away. The home was perfect for our family vacation.

This home features by far the finest views you can get of Lake Arrowhead - in fact the two floors feature gorgeous panoramic lake views in 7 out of 10 potential rooms. It has been updated to include a primary bedroom on the top floor (replacing a game room). This floor also includes a bathroom, an extremely well-equipped kitchen and huge lakeside dining area. Up to 10 guests can easily enjoy the spacious living areas, bedrooms and cavernous kitchen and dining space. The location is generally extremely quiet (except maybe on some Saturday nights - when we heard quite a bit of noise after 11 p.m.). It's a short drive away from dozens of restaurants, several grocery stores, shopping and other services. Guests can use the two-car garage plus another street parking spot. The two TVs on the top floor are large-screen and easy to use to stream favorite programming. The lower level has three bedrooms and several bathrooms - one with a huge soaking tub with a grand, sweeping view of the lake country. The house is situated on the end of a cul de sac and set in such a way that outsiders can't see in but you can see out with an almost unrestricted view of towering trees and the lake below. Communication through VRBO messaging received nearly immediate responses. Our one complaint was that we were not made aware that there is a lower floor under the two floors made available to us that is rented out to a tenant as an apartment. We generally did not encounter any difficulty with this.
